Play, practice and perform with Portland Drama Club! Kids grades 1st - 3rd will work hard to put on a big 30 minute production based on Mary Pope Osborne's book The Magic Tree house: A Knight at Dawn! With beautiful musical and a great story, kids will tell the tale of Annie and Jack traveling back in time when a magical tree house appears near their home.
Regular attendance is important as we move very fast to put up this production in such a short time! No formal auditions - all kids will sing in a fun group setting in class before casting takes place. All kids will get a part. 1st graders will almost always have chorus roles and some 2nd and 3rd graders depending on their comfort level will have roles with more responsibility. We will follow the PPS calendar. If there is no school there is no rehearsal.
Participants must currently be in grades 1 to 3.
