Description

Into The Woods Jr

This class requires dedication from our students with an interest in becoming better actors through studying and practicing the craft of acting. Our first semester will focus on acting technique and improv games culminating in a Scene Night for parents at the end of the semester. We will begin music rehearsals for our show on day one of class and cast our show within the first few weeks of class, but only dedicate half of our time to the show during our fall semester. Spring semester will be intense musical rehearsals requiring work at home on lines and music. Students are expected to come to each class prepared and ready to work. More responsibility will be placed on the students. They are expected to know and keep track of their own schedule and if they have email addresses will be added to our email list so they see all student/parent/teacher communication. It is quite a commitment and parents should discuss this commitment with their children before registering.

Our shows are tentatively planned for Saturday May 23rd- Memorial Day weekend. WE HOPE TO CHANGE IT TO Saturday May 16th (matinee and evening) with a tech rehearsal into the evening on Friday May 15th. Please reserve the whole day on Saturday. STAY TUNED.

EXTRA FUN EVENTS PLANNED: We will start next year off with a fun evening of getting to know each other. We'll eat, hang out and watch the recent movie version of Into The Woods.
We also have a weekend trip planned! We'll be heading to Ashland, OR and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival October 12 and 13 to learn and watch some Shakespeare! This will be an extra add-on for your cart at registration. You do not need to make this decision right away and it can be added to your payment plan at a later time, but if you are interested please let Caroline know (this would not be a confirmation of participation). Registering early, though, will help us keep our reservations and get an idea of numbers. You can also cancel this part of your tuition with no penalties. $150 for students and $25 for driving chaperones (any additional chaperones in the family on the trip will need to pay more to cover extra hotel and ticket fees. We have a limited # of discounted chaperone show tickets and hotel rooms). We could discuss fundraising to bring these costs down or bring students who can not afford to pay for it.

While we can not offer scholarships for this program payment plan options are available at check out for a $25 fee. 3 payment plan:
